Resistance training is used for a wide variety of reasons, to improve overall health, improve athletic performance, rehabilitate an injury, or compete in power lifting or bodybuilding contest. Movement for Kids

Kids need to move and move often. These sessions are designed to allow a child to move freely in space with expression, while analyzing patterns that may need work. Utilizing games and exercises, we accomplish and optimize better patterns for great movement. These sessions are done barefoot as to allow the mechanoreceptors’ in the foot to read the surface of the ground. This teaches kids how to utilize the ground for better movement. We also use 'Vestibular system 'exercises, which is another technique to teach kids balance, stability and spacial awareness. This will help them better assess their surroundings for confident movement.

VBT: VELOCITY BASE TRAINING

Velocity base training uses velocity as a biometric feedback tool to gauge your weight training. Velocity output helps dictate how much load you should be adding or removing on a particular set. It’s a similar concept to heart rate training zones - stick to a certain training zone and reap the physiological benefits associated with that zone.

NEUROTYPING

The purpose is to decrease stress and improve strength gains by identifying what type of training and nutrition is best for you. That’s done by taking a look at what controls everything in your body — your central nervous system & neurotransmitter balance. There is an assessment that will put you into a “type”. There are 5 types — 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, and 3. Each type has a word tied to it which describes your personality and training methods.

My name is Eli Stoner and I am a 20 year old soccer player and student at the University of Indianapolis. I have been working with Michael from Elev8 Strength and Conditioning 1 on 1 since last summer to become a better athlete. Recently, I sprained my ankle badly playing soccer and during my next 1 on 1 session with Michael he evaluated it and provided me with rehab work and knowledge on what I should be doing to heal it. Due to the exercises Michael provided, within 2 weeks my ankle had healed and now we are working on strengthening it. A typical ankle sprain such as this would have an athlete out 3-5 weeks. However, through Micheal's knowledge and professional approach, I was able to get back on field in almost half the time!
